Students hang out, build community, eat a home-cooked meal, and get an opportunity to bump into Jesus during the staff-led discussions typically looking into Jesus’ life and ministry. Family dinners are weekly during the school year on Thursday nights. The ministry has always had a heart to give students the opportunity to serve in other countries. There have been spring break trips to Mexico to help build up a school down there. Students have participated in summer trips to Eastern Europe to help with the refugee crisis. There have also been backpacking trips to some of the most remote regions of the planet, from the mountains of Peru to the jungles of the Philippines. And why wouldn’t they? It’s a beautiful area with lots of opportunities to get outside. Throughout the school year, Challenge runs a lot of trips, adventures, and excursions on the weekends. There’s hiking, mountain climbing, camping, waterfall jumping, snowshoeing, and much more.
